Want to know who’s behind your favorite Kuehnert Milk House products? Do you lose sleep wondering Why have I never heard of a Wine Milkshake until now?

Look no further than Andrew Kuehnert, the younger of the two brothers and their wives who partner to manage this sixth-generation family dairy farm, Kuehnert Milk House, and Udder Upp Cafe. Andrew is the farm’s cheesy connoisseur, its culinary cowperson, its curdy chef — you get it, he’s a dairyman who really enjoys doing interesting things with food!

Andrew is the creator behind the Fall Festival Exclusive sandwich, The Mousetrap, winner of Indiana's Ultimate Grilled Cheese contest. “It just kind of happened over time,” he said of the desire to blend unique flavors. “I always wanted a restaurant on the farm, and the Festival — and now, our Cafe menu — was the vessel to do that.”

Until late 2023, Andrew divided his work time between managing feeding operations on the family farm and managing a livestock feed sales team for ADM, where he started in 2008 upon graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Now he oversees Kuehnert Milk House product sales and development, and restaurant/retail distribution efforts full-time, in addition to being Chief Foodie. “We all at the farm wear too many hats,” he mused.

He grew up enjoying chores with the Holsteins around the farm, a trait he now sees in his young children, Kennedy and Carson. He and his wife, Brittany — whom he met at Purdue. He, Brittany, and brother and sister-in-law Nathan and Sarah try to manage the farm in such a way that the next generation will want to take it over, adding, “We’re trying to make something to set our kids up for future success.”
